Fifteen flag-raisers from Qingdao Armed Police Detachment will raise the Olympic flag, Chinese flag and Olympic Sailing Competition flag at the opening ceremony, also, 33 times of flag-raising for the awards ceremonies of 11 events and 9 classes. This team did excellent work at the 2007 Qingdao International Regatta with their ‘zero error’ standard which gained great approval. Different from those previous Olympic sailing competition, the flag-raising terrace for 2008 Qingdao Olympic Sailing Competition is built at the sea and the 15 flag-raisers have to exercise under the scorching sun everyday at Olympic Sailing Center. Besides, the standards of action and discriminating of hearing and memory also requires ‘zero error’. The squad leader said, “all our efforts are worthwhile when the Olympic flag and national flags rise at the sea perfectly”.
